Family support and health care

Broadwaters Children's Centre works in partnership with the following health providers:
  • The Laurels Health Visiting Team

Parents and carers can see their midwife at Broadwater's Children’s Centre by making an appointment with their midwife.

The Laurels Health Visiting Team holds a monthly weigh-in clinic at the centre where families can get their baby weighed.  This runs on the second Thursday of every month from 9.30am -11.30am.

If you would like to see a health visitor at the centre you can contact your local Health Visiting team to book an appointment.

Speech & Language & Child Development

If you are worried about your child’s development or their speech and language come to one of our stay and play sessions.  Our Early Intervention Outreach Workers will complete observations of your child and will then discuss with you any concerns you have.  If your child requires extra support they will then work with you to complete the referral forms.

Healthy Eating

The centre has a healthy food policy and we encourage all our families to follow healthy lifestyles.
If you are worried about your child's eating or would like to get tips for how you can support your whole family to be more healthy speak to us about the HENRY program.  The HENRY program has been designed for families with children under the age of five.  Speak to one of our Early Intervention Outreach workers to find out more.
